The [Manual] setting of negative film scans with fixed exposure regardless of the density or color of the negative film. Therefore the image may be too dark (underexposure), too light (overexposure), or color cast if no adjustment for the exposure and color balance is done manually.
The exposure-control tab can be used to adjust exposure and color balance.
