It is not a camera fault. Battery indication should be the same, whether on EVF or LCD monitor. But due to larger power consumption rate than EVF, when switched, the LCD may happen to show "half" indicator at a timing the battery power drops down to a certain voltage where battery indication switches from full to half. This results from directly monitoring the change in battery capacity.
