The EBP-100 is expected to last for more than 500 charge and discharge cycles. Like Li-Ion rechargable battery for cell phones, its performance will deteriorate gradually, not so sharply, thus in general, it will provide charges beyond specified.

There are several documents saying, such as the technical datasheet for a Ni-MH cell, that the cycle life is "more than 500 times".
