FAQ

The LCD monitor has a magenta cast while recording.

It is due to a symptom peculiar to CCD, called smear. It easily appears in brighter conditions. The appearance may vary depending on the CCD, but it can be seen on all digital cameras. In this model, 8 mega pixels, the unprecedented high resolution can be obtained, but meanwhile, the smear now appears more than conventional models because each pixel size got smaller. However, it does not affect recorded still images. *Smear: The excess charge integrated on the CCD while the array is being read out will be recorded as a colored line called smear.
