The frame counter is not reduced or reduced 2 frames for one shot.
When setting the image quality except RAW, the recorded image is compressed compliant to JPEG file format. The data size after compressing varies depending on the recorded image therefore the mentioned symptom occurs in some cases. Please rest assured that this is not the malfunction of the camera.
