FAQ

Is it possible to use the AF assist light function of an external flash (e.g. the 5600HSD) without the flash firing on exposure (also on Dynax7D/5D)?

Yes, simply turn off the flash. The AF assist light will be used and the flash will not fire. You can AF in the dark (useful for for indoor photos with no flash)
