What is bracketing and which cameras have it?


Built-in feature on Dynax 404si, 505si, 505si super, 4, 40, 5, 60, 600si, 7, 700si, 800si, 9, 9xi, Dynax 5D, 7D. Available with Creative Expansion Cards with 7000i, 8000i, 5xi, 7xi. Available for Minolta 7000/9000AF with special program back.
Bracketing refers to the act of increasing and decreasing the exposure on a series of film frames based on the camera’s recommended metering settings in order to lighten or darken the resulting picture. Increasing the exposure will give more detail in darker areas of a scene. Decreasing exposure will darken normally bright subjects like clouds and white objects and increase detail in areas that would normally be overexposed.
