FAQ

Can I use older Minolta AF flashes with new Dynax cameras?

The Dynax adapter FS-1100 enables using original Dynax 1800AF, 2800AF and 4000AF flashes having the classic-style accessory shoe on later Dynax film cameras having Minolta’s exclusive revised, positive-locking shoe.
The FS-1100 adapter will not allow the use of Minolta X-series or non-Minolta "dedicated" flashes.
The FS-1100 adapter and older flashes cannot be used with the Dynax 3L and Dynax 40.
Minolta flash units having the new foot will fit and work to the specification of the flash unit. That is, 2000i/2000xi and 3200i, 5200i offer automatic through the lens operation; 3500xi, 5400xi add wireless operation; 5400HS adds High Speed sync. flash. The 2500D, 3600HSD and 5600HSD offer improved flash operation with the 3600HSD and 5600HSD offer high speed wireless flash with the Dynax 7.
