What is the difference between the 8bit, 16bit, and 16bit linear?


Each setting will enable the following scanning. 8bit : 24bit image (RGB 8bit each) 16bit : 48bit image (RGB 16bit each) 16bit linear : 48bit image (RGB 16bit each). No correction is usable. - In the utility software, the image with 16bit or 16bit linear will be saved as TIFF file. - Some imaging applications may not support 16bit images.
