How long does it take to scan?


Scan time (Windows/Macintosh): Index scan (6 frames): approx.12 sec. / approx. 16 sec. Final scan: approx.25 sec. / approx. 30 sec. Prescan*: approx. 8 sec. / approx. 9 sec. *DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 II obtains prescan images at index scan. These values indicates the time when an image is prescanned individually. Konica Minolta Standard Testing Condition: [Windows] CPU: Pentium 4 3.2GHz / OS: Windows XP Professional / RAM: 1GB / Free space on the hard drive: 69GB / Interface: built-in USB2.0 port / Application: Photoshop 7.0.1/ Memory allocation for application: 80% [Macintosh] CPU: PowerPC G5 Dual 2GHz / OS: Mac OS X v10.3.6 / RAM: 1.5GB / Free space on the hard drive: 61GB / Interface: built-in USB2.0 port / Application: Photoshop 7.0.1 / Memory allocation for application: 80% [Windows/Macintosh] Film type: 35mm positive film, Input resolution: 5400dpi, Scan mode: 8bit、AF: OFF, AE: OFF, Color Matching: OFF, Multi sample scanning: OFF, Every image correction function: OFF -Scan time is longer with Digital ICE4 on. -Scan time is longer with Color Matching on. -Scan time is longer to scan negative films than positive films. -Scan time may vary depending on PC's condition (e.g. clock frequency and free space on the hard drive) especially in scanning high-volume image files.
