FAQ

Images are underexposed when using the Program Flash 5600HS(D) or 3600HS(D), compared to when built-in flash is used (Dynax 7D). Can you change this?

Use of Program Flash 5600HS(D) or 3600HS(D) will not result in uniform underexposure. However, under- or overexposure may result from one or more of the following factors:
- Longer shooting distance.
- Smaller subject magnification.
- Subject in front of, or behind, the point of focus.
- Shorter focal length.
- Higher proportion of pre-flash reaching the background.
- When a subject is very close to or on the background wall.
- When the background wall is NOT facing towards the camera.
- Composition within the frame.
- Lighting conditions existing within the frame, e.g. illumination or sunlight. - Reflectance of the subject.
Due to the difference of inherent guide number/control method of each flash unit, it is impossible to match the exposure level between an external flash and the built-in flash. However, we are pleased to advise that an adjustment to the Program Flash 5600HS(D) or 3600HS(D) is available, which will enable you to achieve a similar exposure level to that of the built-in flash. For further assistance, please contact your nearest Konica Minolta authorized service station.
Please rest assured that adjustment of Program Flash 5600HS(D) or 3600HS(D) will have no affect on its performance either with film cameras, or with other digital cameras.
