Available on SPxi, 3xi, 5xi, 7xi, 9xi, 700si, 800si, Dynax 5, 7, 9 and the Riva Zoom 140/160 cameras. Eye Start was introduced with the Dynax 7xi in 1991. It automatically turns on the AUTOFOCUS and METERING systems of the camera when the user:
1. Touches the sensor on the handgrip
2. Brings the camera to the eye. It also activates the Auto Standby Zoom feature of SPxi, 3xi, 5xi, 7xi.
