FAQ

How can I use studio flashes with my camera?

The DiMAGE 7Hi has a built-in studio flash adapter. All other cameras of the DiMAGE 7 Series can release the flashes via PCT-100 or with the built-in flash (DiMAGE 7 with upgrade only, not possible with DiMAGE 5). These cameras can release studio flashes with external flashes which have the possibility to be set in M-Mode, too.
If the monitor is too dark, press PASM-Button and i+ button simultaneously in M-Mode.
The white balance must set to flash light.
The exposure cannot be metered with the camera. An external exposure metering system has to be used or the exposure has to be tested before.
Note: The DiMAGE 7 series has a larger maximum aperture in comparison to analogue cameras.
