Computer does not recognise the camera as removable disk (and it is not listed in device manager). Other USB devices are working properly.
Camera is not switched on or not switched to transfer mode. Switch the camera on and set it to transfer mode.
DiMAGE 7 Series: You have to confirm the transfer mode with the four-way controller.
Win98: The USB driver has to be installed for the camera (from DiMAGE CD).
