FAQ

What is the colour space of the DiMAGE (5, 7, S304, S404) cameras and how can I use it?

The colour space of the DiMAGE cameras (5, 7, S304, S404) depends on properties of the CCD. The colour space of the DiMAGE camera is bigger than any standard colour space. If you do not convert the pictures into a standard colour space, the colours will not be displayed correctly.

DiMAGE Image Viewer Utility 1:
Open the pictures in the DiMAGE Image Viewer. Choose a standard colour space from the drop down menu and save the images.
If you do not need a specific colour space, it is recommended to use sRGB. sRGB will be properly displayed in most of the imaging software.

DiMAGE Image Viewer 2:
Open the picture. Choose a standard colour space in File>Colour Preferences.
Choose a standard colour space from the drop down menu and save the images. If you do not need a specific colour space it is recommended to use sRGB. sRGB will be properly displayed in most of the imaging software.
