Scanned image may be too dark (underexposure), too light (overexposure), or have a color cast when setting the Exposure control for negatives to [Manual] in the Preferences of the DiMAGE Scan Software


The [Manual] setting for negative film scans with fixed exposure regardless of the density or color of the negative film. Therefore the image may be too dark (underexposure), too light (overexposure), or have color cast if no adjustment for the exposure and color balance is done manually.
The exposure-control tab can be used to adjust exposure and color balance.
