FAQ

Changing the monitor brightness in M-mode.

With this camera, the exposure set in M (manual) exposure mode is reflected on the monitors. Only when the built-in-flash or a dedicated Minolta program flash is used is the live image displayed without the effect of the set exposure. When using a non-dedicated off-camera flash in M mode, the live image may be very dark because of the shutter and aperture settings. The following operation will brighten the monitor image so that the focus and composition can be judged; the monitor image cannot be used to evaluate the exposure. 1. Press the function button. 2. While pressing the function button, press the display information button. The exposure-mode indicator (M) in the bottom left corner of the monitor will change from white to red to indicate that the monitor brightness has been 3. To return the monitor brightness level to the set exposure, repeat the steps above to turn the exposure-mode indicator (M) white.
