FAQ

The connection to the scanner has failed, what can I check?

The DiMAGE Scan Multi Pro appears as imaging device in your device manager if the driver is installed correctly:

If the scanner does not appear in your “device manager”:
SCSI

1.Check if the scanner was turned on before booting your computer.

2.Is the scanner ID correct? Every SCSI device needs an unique ID (the 7 is used by the SCSI-Controller).

3.Are the SCSI cables too long? The maximum total length is 3m (inside and outside the computer).

4.Is the SCSI chain correctly terminated? The last device in the SCSI chain has to be terminated.

5.Is your SCSI controller compatible to the Scanner? View the list of compatible controller on the Minolta Website (http://www.konicaminoltasupport.com).

6.Are you using a UW-SCSI Controller with two sockets inside the computer and one outside? In this case only one of the inside sockets can be used.

IEEE1394

1.Are you using Win 98? Win 98 does not support IEEE1394.

2.Check in the device manager if your IEEE1394-controller is OHCI compatible?
