Yes, the Auto Power Off function is employed. If no operation is performed for a specific period, the camera will shut itself off. The length of this period is selectable from 1 min., 2 min. or 3 min. under the setup menu in Photography mode. Pressing the power button resumes the camera operation. This function does not operate during a slideshow or when the camera is connected with the computer.
