After installing the software without problems, I receive an error message when I want to start the software.


At first disconnect all other USB devices (except mouse and keyboard) and try again. The software should be reinstalled (try to use Add/Remove programs in windows. If that is not working, use the driver CD and start the setup.exe again. The software will be uninstalled automatically). Important is, that the software has to be installed before the scanner was connected. To install it correctly: 1. Unplug the scanner. 2. Insert the driver CD-ROM and open it (normally the Autorun will appear) 3. Install the Scanner driver (first option) 4. Restart the computer 5. After restart of the computer connect the scanner and switch it on while the computer is running. 6. The scanner is blinking until the software will be started 7. To start the software click on “start” -> “All Programs” and choose “Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual” -> Utility 8. Now the scanner makes some noise and after a minute it is ready. If there are still any problems with the scanner connection please check whether USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 is working. Try to update the chipset driver for your USB chipsets from the internet (contact the manufacturer of your mainboard or your USB chipset).
